Kids Birthday Party Part Two Keep Them Happy Without Spending A Fortune
Okay now that the big day has finally arrived and you have the party set up and you did not spend a lot; you may be worried because you have no idea how you are going to keep them happy without spending a fortune. Well one of the great things about a kids birthday party is that they do not come over to critique the decorations or the plates or napkins so if you did not spend a lot of money on that; you are golden. The kids do not come to a party to eat; instead they come to have a good time and play. Most of the focus should be spent on deciding what type of games will they love?
While they will need some food to tie them over; you can easily get a bowl of pretzels, chips and apples and some soda or water. You should never throw a kids birthday party during a typical meal time because then you can expect to feed them a lot more food.
The birthday cake of course is a given; after all you can not have a kids birthday party without a cake. However you can easily pick get all the cake ingredients from the grocery store and prepare the cake yourself.
As a parent I think that most of the focus for a kids birthday party should go into entertainment. After all the real reason that the kids are there is to play games and have fun. You never want to let them get bored otherwise you will have a handful of kids that are unhappy.
You can play some scavenger hunt games that I have used before and kids seem to love these types of games. Why not play a game of baseball or even flag football. Depending on the age of the children there will be plenty of activities that they will love to play.
Always keep the games outside if the weather is great; this will prevent you from having to clean up after a bunch of kids after the party. While I tend to love throw kids birthday parties more than adults because I feel they are easier to please. It does require some planning to learn how to keep them happy without spending a fortune.
